Greetings from Teton Valley Idaho

If you'll be visiting Jackson Hole, skiing "the Ghee"(AKA Grand Targhee), hiking or climbing in Teton National Park, camping in Yellowstone, floating the Snake river in Southeastern, Idaho, or   fishing right here in Teton Valley, Idaho, stop by and experience Restaurant in Downtown Victor, Idaho. We are located 20 miles west of of the "Tourist Trap" restaurants of Jackson Hole Wyoming in the new hub of Idaho restaurants, Victor Idaho. Avoid the overpriced and pretentious Jackson Hole tourist restaurant scene and come to Historic Victor, Idaho. The Old Dewey House Menu features Gourmet and Homestyle cuisine utilizing the native bounty of Teton Valley Idaho as it's basis. Unlike the frozen- pre-prepared or ski-bum "created" food so typical of Jackson Town Restaurants and Grand Targhee restaurants. And  Open this summer Grumpy's Goat Shack specializing in Cool Appetizer's and Fine wines by the glass. Also Beer and Hot Dogs for those less bold with food.

While sampling the cuisine of Teton Valley Idaho, check out our extensive selection of Idaho Wines on our 100+ selection wine list. Some of our fine examples of Snake River Valley wine are produced by Pintler Cellars, Vickers Vineyards and the amazing Rick Small of  Woodward Canyon Winery. Yes Dear, they really do make, and even Drink wine in some parts of Idaho!

goat751.GIF (53644 bytes) Why all the goat stuff? There are 8 French alpines cavorting through our Victor Idaho pasture. We also make goat cheese for the restaurant and goatpack the Tetons,  Yellowstone, and Wind River mountains in the summer. Besides being great cheese makers and packers they are fun to watch and are our pals too! This is Mr. Bideau at 1 1/2 years, (He's bigger now!) shouldering food and tents. Mr, Bideau is also employed as our credit manager. The only thing we've ever heard him say is "Naah!"
Here is a very" Victor" shot of Miss Idaho, The Baby Goat Binaca, and Smokey the Bear in the Background. Miss Idaho was a recent diner at the Old Dewey House Restaurant and graced our fair city for the dedication of the new baseball park in town. It's been a long winter and this is exciting stuff around these parts! Check out those legs! (On the goat that is!)  MissIdahoand Binaca.JPG (24918 bytes)
